Let us introduce ourselves. We are Nigel and Mairi Stinton.
Based in Edinburgh, we have recently (September 2018) sold our 32 foot Merry Fisher 925 motor boat “Cul Na Shee” and purchased a Fisher 37 Motorsailer “Bella Dessa”.
While our last boat was berthed in Dover for easy access to France and the french canals, we have sailed Bella Dessa up to Scotland. Presently berthed at Port Edgar Marina near Edinburgh, we plan on sailing her around to the West coast of Scotland mid March 2019.
Over the next few months, we will tell the story of why we decided to change our boat, how we got Bella Dessa up to Scotland, and what our sailing plans are for next year .
I looked at your boat when she was last up for sale and thought that she was fantastic. Other priorities arrived so I didn’t move forward with it. I am keen to know how you are going on?

I must agree with you she is a lovely boat. I fell in love with her the moment I stepped on board to view her. It was sheer chance I came across her as I was down in Port Solent having a Westerly Oceanlord surveyed prior to purchase. Needless to say, I didn’t buy the Westerly!
I will be bringing the website up to date in the next few weeks as due to personal reasons,this has been neglected.
In brief.
After purchasing her, I sailed her up to Port Edgar near Edinburgh for the winter in order to do some work on her (we live in Edinburgh). At the begining of April we took her to the West coast via Inverness and the Caledonian Canal. She is now based in Portavadie marina, Argyll and Bute.
